Brivix AI ("Brivix AI", "we", "our", or "the App") provides an AI-powered customer service chatbot for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when merchants install and use the App.
Information We Collect
When you install and use Brivix AI, we may collect and process the following information:
- Store information, such as store name, store domain, and Shopify store ID
- Store content, including pages, blogs, FAQs, and product information provided by the merchant
- Customer conversation data, including messages and related interaction data generated through chatbot use
- App usage and operational data, such as feature usage and system activity
We do not intentionally collect customer email addresses, payment information, order data, or Shopify admin credentials.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App
- Answer customer questions using merchant-provided store content
- Improve chatbot accuracy, quality, and performance
- Display conversation history and insights to merchants
- Monitor reliability, security, and performance
We do not sell merchant or customer data.
Data Storage and Processing
Data is stored and processed using secure cloud infrastructure and trusted service providers necessary to operate the App. Data may be processed in regions where our service providers operate.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Third-Party Services
To deliver the App's functionality, we may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers, including:
- AI and language model providers to generate chatbot responses
- Infrastructure and operational service providers to support hosting, reliability, and security
These providers are authorized to process data only as needed to provide their services and are subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
Data Retention and Deletion
Merchant data is retained while the App is installed and active.
After the App is uninstalled, associated store data is deleted within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.
Merchants may request earlier deletion by contacting us.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices designed to protect stored data. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for informing customers about chatbot interactions on their storefront and ensuring compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Data Retention & Mandatory Deletion
We comply with Shopify's Mandatory Privacy Webhooks:
- Customer Data Request: Upon request, we provide all data stored regarding a specific customer.
- Customer Redaction: We delete customer PII within 30 days of a request from Shopify.
- Shop Redaction: When you uninstall the app, we automatically delete all your store data from our database within 30 days.
Cookies
Our chatbot widget uses a small session cookie to maintain the conversation history as a user navigates your store. This cookie does not track users across other websites.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
